Excuses Excuses Excuses

I have been going through a lot of crap in my life lately. Who hasn’t? We all have crap in our lives that we let hold us back from doing something great.

For some people it could be losing weight. For others it could be making more money, starting a business, forgiving another person who has hurt us, and the list goes on!

I have reached a place in my life now where I’ve realized that excuses usually start with the words "I can’t".

SO I BURIED THEM IN MY BACK YARD!!!

No more excuses for me. I am on a mission!

Enjoy the day . . . and just Do You!

Seventeen ways Rich people think and act differently from Poor and Middle Class people

I recently finished reading T. Harv Eker's "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind". This book is a must read for anyone with a desire to become financially free!

I have decided to post the 17 wealth "files" that are explained in full detail in T. Harv Eker's book.

Here they are:

Wealth file 1:

Rich people believe "I create my life".
Poor people believe "Life happens to me".

Wealth file 2:

Rich people play the money game to win.
Poor people play the money game to not lose.

Wealth file 3:

Rich people are committed to being rich.
Poor people want to be rich.

Wealth file 4:

Rich people think big.
Poor people think small.

Wealth file 5:

Rich people focus on opportunities.
Poor people focus on obstacles.

Wealth file 6:

Rich people admire other rich and successful people.
Poor people resent rich and successful people.

Wealth file 7:

Rich people associate with positive, successful people.
Poor people associate with negative or unsuccessful people.

Wealth file 8:

Rich people are willing to promote themselves and their value.
Poor people think negatively about selling and promotion.

Wealth file 9:

Rich people are bigger than their problems.
Poor people are smaller than their problems.

Wealth file 10:

Rich people are excellent receivers.
Poor people are poor receivers.

Wealth file 11:

Rich people choose to get paid based on results.
Poor people choose to get paid based on time.

Wealth file 12:

Rich people think "both".
Poor people think "either/or".

Wealth file 13:

Rich people focus on their net worth.
Poor people focus on their working income.

Wealth file 14:

Rich people manage their money well.
Poor people mismanage their money well.

Wealth file 15:

Rich people have their money work hard for them.
Poor people work hard for their money.

Wealth file 16:

Rich people act in spite of fear.
Poor people let fear stop them.

Wealth file 17:

Rich people constantly learn and grow.
Poor people think they already know.

There you have it. So how many of your money files match the rich and how many match the poor?

I highly recommend getting a copy of T. Harv Eker's "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind".

You've learned to think how you do now. You weren't born with the mindset you have now, you learned it from your parents, friends, associates, etc. as you were going through life. You can also learn to change the way you think, which will change the way your life plays out in the end!

Who do you want your teachers to be? Ones that are just as broke as you are? Or ones that can help you change your life?

CHOOSE WELL!!!

PLAY TO WIN! Stop playing to Not Lose!

Hey guys,

So . . . I've been reading T. Harv Eker's "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" lately. This book is a MUST READ for anyone with any kind of desire to be financially free.

I have learned so much already and I'm only half way through the book. This will be a book I will go back to over and over again.

In "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind", T. Harv Eker introduces 17 wealth principles. These are things that the wealthy people use in their lives that middle class and poor people do not!

The most recent wealth principle I've read stated "Rich people play to win, poor people play to not lose". This struck a chord for me personally I tell ya'.

This one statement had me thinking for hours, replaying all the moments in my life where I chose to play to not lose, instead of playing to win. I thought, "man, I wonder how different my life would look today had I chose to play to win?".

Think about it. How many times in your own life have you chose to do something and also chose to hold back and not go all out in whatever it is you were doing?

I've made a choice. From here on out, I am playing to win in whatever I decide to do in life. I no longer play to not lose!

I hope you decide to do the same in your own life.

Pick up a copy of "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" . . . it is well worth the money : )

Enjoy the day!

I've learned something new.

I've learned something new this week dealing with creating a life you will love.

I have been studying Joe Schroeder's material for a few months now. As I was reading his book "The Alpha Code" yesterday, it became clear to me how to live a life by design.

He says that you will only have the things that your subconscious mind believes to be true.

In other words, whatever your subconscious mind thinks - whether good or bad, negative or positive - it will find a way to make it happen.

So the trick becomes to have your subconscious mind believe that - insert your dreams and goals here - is true of you.

He recommended reading "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" to get all the details, so that is where I will be heading next.

Think about it for a minute though. If you really don't believe you are worth $20k per month or a brand new Corvette, or that nice lake house or beach vacation, etc, etc, etc, do you think you will ever make it there? Of course not!

We've got to 'trick' our subconscious mind into believing our dreams and goals are true in order for our mind to find ways to make it happen!

When I find out how this is done, I will post more. Or you can go to the nearest bookstore and get "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" for yourself.

Enjoy the day!

Do You Know The Answer?

I am your constant companion.

I am your greatest helper or your heaviest burden.

I will push you onward or drag you down to failure.

I am at your command.

Half of the tasks you do, you might just as well turn over to me.

And I will do them quickly and correctly.

I am easily managed.

You must simply be firm with me.

Show me exactly how you want something done.

After a few lessons I will do it automatically.

I am the servant of all great people and alas of all failures as well.

Those who are great I have made great.

Those who are failures I have made failures.

I am not a machine, but I work with all of the precision of a machine plus the intelligence of a person.

Now, you may run me for profit or you may run me for ruin.

It makes no difference to me.

Take me, train me, be firm with me and I will lay the world at your feet.

Be easy with me and I will destroy you.

WHO AM I?

I AM CALLED HABIT.

Like You Were Dying!

I listened to the song, "Live Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw again the other day. It made me think about my life and how I live day to day.

I decided to start filtering ideas, thoughts and actions in my life as if I were dying soon. I know this may sound a little crazy, but my o my how big a difference this is starting to make in my life.

The reality is this: we are only here for a short period of time. We are living one day at a time and we should make decisions based on the fact that we have one chance in the game of life! There are no do-overs, reset buttons, etc. We are 'in the game' right now.

Ideas I've had that other's have told me will not work, you can't do that, etc. well, they've come back to life now. It's strange how your outlook on life will change when you decide to take a little different perspective than most people follow. I no longer let people put their own shortcomings on me and my life goals. This is what people do, "well, I haven't been able to accomplish a,b,c, so it must not be possible". And for some reason, we tend to let these people have influence over our choices in life.

But, you see, most people are not satisfied with their current state in life. Even though their very own decisions got them to where they are, most are not satisfied. Even better than that, most people will not even acknowledge that their own decisions got them to where they are in life! CRAZY!!!

I know this because I was one of those people until a short time ago. I've accepted the fact that I got Keith Akin to where he is today. The beauty of accepting this is the fact that I can make different decisions and take different actions and get my life to where I want to be!

I'm not even sure that a "dream life" is that unreachable anymore. I am breaking my old ways, my old habits, my old thoughts and I am heading straight toward my new life.

I challenge you to do the same!

I can recommend some excellent resources to help get you on track to the life you desire.

Enjoy the day!

Resolutions Anyone?

So, here it is yet once again, the time of year where most people seek a clean slate.

It's time to get out the old pen and paper and write down the things that you would like to be, do, have different this year.

Save yourself the time and effort! Put the pad up if you are just going to go through the motions!

I've recently discovered for myself, that when someone is trying to better themselves, it is best not to put a time on it. I mean, why pressure yourself such as, "I've got to lose 50 pounds by April or else . . ."?

What this does to me, is it OVERWHELMS ME !!!!!

So why do something that is going to overwhelm you?

I've found it best to lay out my goals and to put together a plan of action that will eat away at the goal a little bit everyday. This is doable! I can cut out the nighttime snacks before bed, and take a short walk each day a heck of a lot easier than I can join the gym, plan a workout, plan my meals and supplements, weigh my foods, measure this, measure that . . . AH FOOEY!

In other words, what is working best for me, is doing a little bit everyday instead of trying to 'make the change' all in one day.

The old expression, "Rome wasn't built in a day" does have some merit.

Life goes on, a pound here, a pound there = HOORAY!!! I'm getting closer to my goal.

The main thing is to make sure you are constantly going in the direction of your goals!

It's not a sprint we are in here, it's life, it's a journey, it's time . . . so do whatever you can do each day to get to your goals instead of trying to change your entire life overnight.

Chances are, the smaller CONSISTENT actions will bear more fruit than the HUGE changes you make that will die out in a month or two.

Enjoy the day!!!
